Skyview at Fall River Village Estes Park, Colorado Wedding
Nick and Sandy had the perfect, summer wedding in Estes Park, Colorado. They were surrounded by the people they love the most and simply wanted to have a great time (and soak in all the mountain views of course).

They met while attending college in Wisconsin and working at a nonprofit for individuals with intellectual disabilities. After several months of friendship, they went on their first date and the rest is history. They got engaged in 2022 while hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. They are avid hikers and Rocky is one of the places they frequent. So of course we had to take engagement photos and have their first look in the park.

One of the things we love about Skyview at Fall River Village is that you can do pretty much everything onsite from prep to party. They have one getting ready space at the venue as well as condos surrounding the venue that one or both parties can get ready in. The morning of their wedding, both Sandy and Nick got ready onsite and then we made our way into Rocky Mountain National Park for a first look with just the two of them. It’s important to note that Rocky Mountain National Park is a protected area and all ceremonies must take place at designated sites with prior permit authorization. Couples may take portraits in the park without a photography permit, but must obtain a timed entry permit May-October.

We met up with Nick and Sandy’s wedding party and family at another outdoor location close to the venue for some portraits before the ceremony. It was a great way for them to all spend some time together and get some of the more formal portraits out of the way so that they could enjoy the party immediately following the wedding.
There were so many happy tears from morning to evening, and it is evident how much they truly love and care for each other. Nick and Sandy wrote personal vows to one another and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the audience (including my own). It was such an honor to get to photograph this beautiful day. Cheers to the newlyweds!
