Estes Park Micro Wedding at the Bristlecone Inn

So you want to have a microwedding in one of the best wedding destinations in Colorado? Maybe you’d like an actual venue to gather all of your people, share a meal, and have a dance party, but you don’t want it to be too over the top? But you’re planning to be in Estes Park, and can’t possibly imagine not taking some photos in Rocky Mountain National Park? Be like Ana and Luc. Schedule a first look in Rocky Mountain National Park, and then meet your closest friends and family for the sweetest microwedding in downtown Estes Park, Colorado.

Wedding First Look in Rocky Mountain National Park

Ana and Luc were really excited to have their closest friends and family members together to celebrate with on their wedding day. All the people they love are spread out all over the country and they were looking forward to how nice it would be to finally have everyone together. Neither of them like to be the center of attention, and so they opted for a small microwedding of less than 50 people. They also wanted to make sure they scheduled some time for just them to be together on wedding day, so we scheduled a private first look and some sunset photos into their timeline for them. They chose Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park because of its proximity to Ana’s getting ready location, the ease of access and of course, the beautiful views. If you’re planning to visit Rocky Mountain National Park between the months of May and October, you will need a timed entry permit. More information about this can be found on the Rocky NPS Timed Entry Page. We scheduled Ana and Luc’s first look for early afternoon (1:30PM) so they had time to take some formal portraits with their families and wedding parties before heading to their 4:00PM ceremony in downtown Estes Park.

Micro Wedding at The Bristlecone Inn

The Bristlecone Inn is the perfect space for intimate weddings in the heart of Estes Park, CO. You can host up to 60 guests at their historic inn that has both outdoor and indoor spaces. Ana and Luc chose a beautiful, June day to be married and opted for an outdoor ceremony on the patio with a mountain view. The Bristlecone Inn’s in-house catering company took care of all of the appetizers, food and drink for the couple so they could focus on being present with their guests. The yard of the inn offers green space for games, dancing and/or photo opportunities. Ana and Luc enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour, meal and a champagne toast with their guests before heading back out to the patio for a very fun dance party.

Their day was laid back and intimate, just as a Colorado mountain wedding should be. They were able to enjoy their day to the absolute fullest including all that Estes Park has to offer. Around sunset, the couple took a small break from their party to take some sunset photos with the breathtaking Rocky Mountains as their backdrop. They finished out the night with more dancing and drinks with their wedding party at the historic Stanley Hotel Bar.

They wanted to have a simple wedding day and have fun with their friends while celebrating their love. They accomplished all of that and more with a quintessential, Estes Park summer wedding.

Ana left us the sweetest review about working with us for her wedding day:

“Forest Picture Co. is, without a doubt, the best choice you could make for a wedding photographer. Neither my husband or I are very comfortable being in pictures but from our very first meeting Amanda made us feel at ease with the whole process and like we were naturals in front of a camera. Her knowledge about weddings helped us feel better about planning the whole thing and she helped make sure everything went by without any problems the day of by helping us get around, coordinating with family and venue staff, and going with the flow when things didn't happen exactly as planned. She’s so fun to work with, an amazing support, and her work is absolutely incredible. Every photo she took turned out amazing, but our favorites were the candid shots. They perfectly capture what an amazing day we had and the love and joy from everyone at our wedding. And we got our full album in record time so we and all of our guests could enjoy them. We can't wait to have an album printed to keep on our coffee table for everyone to admire! If we had to do it all over again Forest Picture Co. is exactly who we would pick to create memories of our day!”
