Ali and Will’s microwedding was an absolute dream. They hosted their entire day at one of our favorite places in Western Colorado, and we feel so lucky to have been there to experience all of the magic.

These two are travelers, foodies, adventurers and all around very cool people. They really wanted their wedding day to be a chill, happy and care-free day. Their vision was to have a slow morning with their closest friends and family members (including their beloved dog, Nellie, of course) getting ready together at the Plaas Huis at TWP followed by a first look, intimate ceremony and then celebration with good food and drink. They didn’t want any stress or fuss, but a simple day with their closest people. We love microweddings (small weddings of 50 people or less) because they are always more simple for couples, and wedding days are so much more flexible. Add to this that Ali and Will chose to host everything in one place - it was a recipe for the most laid back day.

Intimate Wedding at TWP Winery

TWP Winery is an absolute gem for hosting small events in Western Colorado. It is just a few minutes outside of Palisade, Colorado. You can feel the calm and the love the moment you step onto the property. The owners are passionate and kind, and it is obvious how much of their hearts they have poured into their beautiful space. It is literally impossible to feel stressed inside the stunning South African-inspired Plaas Huis. When you rent their property for a wedding, you’ll have access to the grounds, table and chair rentals, lodging for up to 8 guests, and help with planning. The best part? Ali and Will’s day began with champagne and charcuterie as the fall sunshine began to warm the landscape. They slowly got ready as Ali shared stories and laughter with a handful of her closest friends, her sister-in-law and her mom. Will and Nellie spent time around the house as the peacocks lazily wandered the property. They shared a beautiful first look and private vows in one of the courtyards dripping with ivy. Then it was time for them to get married! Their wedding ceremony was at the edge of the pond on the property overlooking the stunning Book Cliff Mountains. They hosted a cocktail hour on the patio followed by an amazing farm to table South African-inspired dinner. They shared a first dance in the open air followed by a night of laughter and love under the stars.

They did everything the way they felt reflected them the best including not having a traditional wedding party and rather having a microwedding with all of the people they love the most. The wedding day was so light and beautiful and the photos turned out amazing! What a joy it was to get to work with these two and their people.
