Epic Fort Collins Wedding at The Elizabeth Hotel

Everything about Erin and Ted’s Fort Collins wedding at The Elizabeth Hotel was SO FUN and unique! Their wedding day was focused on having a fantastic time with the people they were celebrating with and that’s exactly what they did!

Fort Collins Wedding at The Elizabeth Hotel

Ted used to work in the wedding industry, so they skipped out on most wedding “traditions” that didn’t align with them. With Ted’s experience and Erin’s expert planning, they had a totally stress free and unique wedding day! Day of the wedding they both had laid back attitudes and were ready to have the perfect day whatever that looked like!

Instead of having a wedding party, they had a handful of friends and family with them for getting ready. Erin actually made her own wedding dress! Her dress was STUNNING with beautiful floral details and a bow on the back. Erin was so humble about it, but when her mom said she made it, our jaws dropped! Even Erin and Ted’s wedding guests took a unique approach to their outfits! Their wedding guests were dressed in bright and vibrant colors due to encouraging instructions from Ted to “not be afraid of color.”

Wedding at The Elizabeth Hotel

Erin and Ted’s wedding took place at The Elizabeth Hotel which is located in downtown Fort Collins, CO. They started their wedding day by getting ready in rooms at The Elizabeth. For their first look they came down to the lobby near the Magic Rat and we did their portraits throughout the hotel. Their wedding ceremony was in Firehouse Alley which was outside right next to the reception space.

For their wedding reception, guests wandered into The Magic Rat which is a live music venue at The Elizabeth! Erin and Ted customized the marquee sign above the bar to read, “Be Excellent to Each Other” which perfectly describes their dynamic together. Once the reception started, there were food stations and appetizers were passed around. It wasn’t your typical seated wedding dinner, and it allowed Erin and Ted to get more quality time in with their guests. All of the food served by The Emporium was delicious! Their wedding cake was eye-catching with bright yellow frosting and colorful flowers cascading down the side. Once the dancing got started, the dance floor was full and happening the entire night!

If you’re looking for a unique and urban wedding venue in Fort Collins then The Elizabeth could be the ideal place! With a convenient downtown location, there are plenty of local shops, bars, and restaurants your wedding guests can explore.

Erin and Ted also did a day after session with us! They wanted epic mountain wedding photos, but knew that making time for a trip to Estes Park wouldn’t fit in on the wedding day. Instead, we met up with them the day after their wedding in Rocky Mountain National Park. We were able to take our time and take wedding portraits with a glowing sunset. Be on the lookout for their day after session blog, coming soon! We are so thankful Erin and Ted brought us along to capture their wedding journey starting with their engagement session through their wedding session at RMNP!
